Finding Joy in the Little Things first...
Oftentimes people believe that being happy is what they see on the internet, including social media sites such as Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Tumblr, and even Pinterest. Though these websites are fun to rummage through and a way to connect with family and friends, it can also be a weapon used against the mind. The act of feeding into other people's lives and what they have, that we overly fantasize instead of being grateful for what we are already given. We want more than what we can provide, and that's what's wrong with today's society. Gen X has gotten caught up with comparing themselves, feeling bad, and not doing something about it. This is common in all age groups, especially teens of all ethnicities, but it tends to be overlooked.
All my life, I grew up witnessing dolls, toys, and even TV shows with beautiful women. I rarely saw anyone that looked like me, and in a way, it made me feel powerless and not pretty enough. I fantasized to look like the Models in magazines and be as skinny as them with their perfect bodies. I knew that all people were made differently in terms of shades and shapes, but I could never get the thought of wishing to look like someone else. As I got older, I grew out of the comparison stage and grew into wanting to make a change for myself. First things first, I had to realize that there was nothing I needed to change appearance-wise, but what I needed to change spirit wise, and that was the way I thought of myself. I wanted to genuinely be comfortable with what I already had and what I looked like, and this was caused by Self Love. With self-love, I can believe in myself more, be free and live life on my terms. Here are some methods that I used on the journey that I want to share.

5 tasks For Body Inspiration-
Task 1: Regulate a healthier eating habit. Yes! This means getting rid of chips, sodas, bread, and tons of sugar. Watch your weight cut in half, and your face clear up. Eating healthier isn't just for your appearance but for your mood to be enlightened as well. Look up recipes and enjoy cooking with those around you. This opens the door to trying new things.
Task 2: Schedule a consistent exercise plan. YUP. You heard it folks, a ‘consistent’ plan! This means regularly stretching, getting outdoors, and working out. This doesn't have to be every day but at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes. Think about it this way, that is only 3 days out of 7, giving you time for other things in need. Once you get accustomed to the exercise life, you'll find yourself doing it in your sleep!
Task 3: Believe in yourself. This tip is the most influential of them all. If you don't believe you can do something, you won't get very far. Believe that you can achieve anything you put your mind to and hold onto it. I know we hear this a lot but it is 100% true!!
Task 4: Manifest your Goals. This comes with speaking it into existence as well as activating yourself in accomplishing these goals. Look yourself in the mirror and say you can do this and bring it to life!
Task 5: Dedicate yourself mentally. Understand this, even though you are doing something physically, it doesn't mean you are enjoying yourself. Do things because your mind wants to, not just for the physical result but for the satisfaction that you will receive once you pursue your goals. Reminder: Your mental needs to be stronger than your physical to finish. Don't let your mind give out before your body. Fight through!
